We install all makes of boat lifts and davits; however, we recommend the IMM brand for the following reasons:
Engineers will choose an IMM lift over some other lifts everytime, they are designed better.
Some lifts do not hold up as well in salt water. they have all aluminum pulleys with no bushing and grease fittings. IMM pulleys have leaded bronze bushings and grease fittings.
Other lifts have all welded designs that weaken the aluminum. IMM has a no weld thru-bolted design that retains all of the aluminum's strength.
IMM does not attach the pulley directly to the top, or lip, of the I-Beam which is the weakest part of the beam.
IMM offers $1,000,000 product liability insurance.
IMM's 10,000 lb. lift uses 5/16" stainless steel certified aircraft cable. Other brands use 1/4" cable.
And last but not least, IMM usually cost lest than other brands.
